Who this applies to
This policy applies to our customers, and to anyone using a website, system or service we build or look after, including your staff and your own customers. You're responsible for making sure they follow it.
What isn't allowed
You may not use our services to create, store, send or share anything that:
- breaks the law of Sri Lanka, or of any place where it's used;
- infringes anyone else's rights, for example copying their photos, text, designs, brand or software without permission;
- is fraudulent or misleading, including scams, fake reviews and phishing;
- is spam or unsolicited bulk messaging;
- contains viruses, malware or anything designed to cause harm;
- attacks, probes or tries to break into any system, network or account, including ours;
- harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred against anyone;
- exploits or harms children in any way;
- offers illegal goods or services, or gambling without the licences the law requires; or
- collects or uses other people's personal data unlawfully.
Fair use
Monthly plans are priced for normal use by a business like yours. If your requests grow well beyond that, we'll talk to you first and suggest a better option, which may cost more.
Your hosting is bought from, and run by, your hosting provider. Their own limits and rules also apply to your website.
Keeping accounts secure
- Keep passwords and logins safe, and don't share them.
- Remove access for anyone who no longer needs it, such as staff who leave.
- Tell us straight away if you think an account has been misused.
You're responsible for everything done using logins from your side.
What we can do
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may:
- investigate, and ask you to fix the problem;
- remove or disable the content involved;
- suspend the affected services, or end our agreement; and
- report it to the authorities where the law requires, or where there's a risk of harm.
Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you time to fix it. For illegal content, security threats or risk of serious harm, we may act straight away.
Fees for suspended services aren't refunded, and you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with the problem, as set out in our Terms & conditions.
